I’ve tried using the cone.gs script to plot the uncertainty track and also the ensemble track map however both appear to be getting confused by a secondary low forming which throws off the tracks? I was wondering if anyone has had this issue when dealing with ensemble tracks before. > I’ve been attempting to plot the hurricane track maps using the GFS Ensemble for the Coral Sea region. > On Mar 12, 2018, at 6:52 PM, Mike Manning wrote: If the hurricane is moving very fast, or there are other systems nearby, you can get spurious results from the SLP minima calculations. The peak of the season occurs between August and October with 96 of major hurricanes happening during those months. > Yeah I’ve been inspired by your charts so have been trying to make the same thing. Hurricane season according to NOAA occurs each year from June 1st through November 30th in the Atlantic Basin. Is this expected behaviour when you plot your track maps? If there is a correlation, then name independent and dependent variables. Determine whether a scatter plot of the data below would show a positive, negative, or no relationship. Scatter plots can show us trends in the data. ![]() I have a txt file that Im loading into the system but the other. This is leading to not nice looking track maps as you can see from below. Scatter plot: a graph used to determine whether there is a relationship between paired data. Im trying to plot hurricane track data on a map, but Im not super fluent in Matlab. Quick question with your track maps - I seem to be having an issue with the plot points, it wants to perfectly align the dots in the centre of the grid point when using the aminlocx and aminlocy functions.
